Responsibilities
This position requires individuals to provide technical direction and administrative People management of one or more Solution Support teams within a division, a region, or a product group.
- Coordinates and manages the activities of the support function in support of company solutions.
- Along with other managers, coordinates activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
- May be responsible for developing the support departmentâs schedule and technical requirements.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and negotiates target dates with management to meet objectives.
- Ensures that technical and/or administrative activities proceed according to schedule and technical requirements.
- Frequently interacts with other managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications.
- Responsible for recommending new administrative procedures and technical direction for assigned activities.
- Interprets and administers company policies.
- Maintains proper staffing and training to meet short and long-range goals and objectives of their own Support department.
Education / Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in technical support leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success leading customer-facing support organizations.
- Working knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles and practices.
- Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, and service improvement programs.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts, operating systems and hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, solve complex operational challenges, and implement scalable processes.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proactively identify potential challenges, resolve them, and prevent escalations.
- Fluent language skills in German and English.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within global, cross-functional teams.
