Job Location (Short):  Ghent, Belgium
Workplace Type:  Hybrid
Req Id:  2934

Position Summary

Owns and orchestrates the data strategy, in alignment with the business strategy and objectives, with a focus on the end‑to‑end data landscape across the entire customer journey, from awareness to consideration, decision, purchase, retention, and expansion. This is a horizontal, cross‑functional role working across Marketing, Sales, Product, R&D, Support, Finance and Operations. Today each of these teams have their own functional KPIs, but none is responsible to identify and create cross-team data insights. This role ensures that the right customer data is captured, data definitions are consistent across teams and aligned with industry-standard practices, insights are shared and actionable, and everyone in the organization works from a single source of truth.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the customer journey data framework across all lifecycle stages. Define what data should be captured, where, how, and for what purpose.
  • Establish standardized data definitions, naming conventions, and KPIs across teams. Ensure internal definitions are aligned with market norms to support scalability and comparability.
  • Act as the “data translator” between technical teams and business stakeholders. Translate data into insights and/or actionable recommendations for Go-To-Market, Product Development, and customer experience improvement.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for customer lifecycle analytics.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across systems.
  • Implement processes for cleaning, validating, and enriching customer data.
  • Own documentation of data models, schemas, and measurement frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of customer‑journey analytics, lifecycle metrics, and KPI’s.
  • Ability to design data models and translate complex data into clear narratives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional communication skills.
