We are seeking a skilled data engineer for our Data&AI team. You will work closely with an international cross-functional team of engineers, data and business analysts within the broader Octave BricsCAD DevOps R&D group. The team is responsible for data collection, transformation, storage and analytics as well as integration of our flagship desktop application with Cloud based AI solutions. Your work will directly contribute to company strategy and reporting.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, maintain and extend the core data platform bringing together information from across the organization in a structured, scalable way.
  • Collaborate in an international team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Ensuring and improving data quality and governance by implementing ELT/ETL processes with a clear view on compliance and security
  • Actively participate in design, requirements, and feature discussions on advanced AI integration.
  • Address complex problems with innovative solutions, balancing new feature development and optimization of existing functionalities.
  • Shape and refine development processes, promoting efficiency, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of BricsCAD by leveraging various data sources into a solid base for complex analyses that impact strategic decisions.

Education / Qualifications

 

  • Mastery of advanced SQL and Python (sqlalchemy, fastapi)
  • Knowledge of ELTL pipelines
  • Building infrastructure in google cloud
  • Ability to monitor and automate a large and diverse data platform
  • Designing and maintaining efficient database schema’s and the transformations between them
  • Ability to realistically plan your own work, work independently and reliably, coordinate your work with team members, and be open and honest in communication.
  • Evaluating and implementing compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA
  • Full professional fluency in English. Dutch is advantageous but not essential.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Professional experience as a Data Engineer for a mid-sized company.
  •  MLOps experience managing data pipelines for machine learning models
  • System design and optimization experience for a gcp-based data platform
  • Familiarity with DBT orchestration
