Responsibilities
The HR Generalist Consultant – France / Belgium is an experienced HR professional responsible for providing advice and guidance to employees. This role involves driving process excellence, optimizing HR operations, and contributing to HR strategy development. Also, they should be able to provide advanced support and advice to employees/managers independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to initial employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general HR information in Belgium and rest of the Southern Region.
- Leads the Works Council meetings.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely information, escalating more complex issues as appropriate.
- Enter, update, and maintain employee data in HRIS while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in maintaining organized HR records, personnel files, and relevant documentation.
- Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating onboarding activities, and assisting new employees with required information.
- Support offboarding activities, including preparing exit documentation and completing required system updates.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and general benefit inquiries.
- Provide employees with information and guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining compliance-related documentation and supporting audit requests.
- Contributes to the development of HR strategies that can enhance efficiency of the HR Operations team.
- Formulates and implements initiatives that are focused on streamlining HR processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensures that HR operations comply with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee relationships with external HR service providers, monitor service level agreements, and manages vendor performance.
- Leverages HRIS systems and emerging HR technologies to optimize HR processes, data management, and reporting.
- Participate in HR initiatives and projects to expand HR knowledge and support ongoing improvements.
Education / Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in HR generalist role or similar.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HR processes, documentation and HR systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong customer service mindset and eagerness to build HR expertise.
