The Opportunity
Join BricsCAD's Core team as Product Owner for Parametric Systems, leading the implementation of parametric and constraints modeling. You'll own the roadmap for Parametric technology stability, performance, and innovation, working with a specialized development team to deliver capabilities that architects and engineers rely on daily.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a critical CAD technology used by professionals worldwide to automate their design workflows.
What Makes This Role Different
Parametric systems are inherently complex — constraints, dependencies, and dynamic behaviors that power advanced CAD workflows. This role requires translating that complexity into accessible user experiences.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap (40%)
- Own the 18-month roadmap for Parametric modeling stability, performance, and new capabilities
- Define success metrics for reliability, feature parity with AutoCAD, and customer adoption
- Balance stability improvements with strategic innovations
- Align parametric roadmap with BricsCAD's strategic pillars (TRUSTED/BETTER)
Customer & Market Intelligence (30%)
- Simplify complex constraint UIs for all user levels (major time focus; experience required)
- Conduct workflow demos and presentations for teams and customers; comfort with complex system demonstrations essential
- Partner with Sales to understand win/loss factors related to Parametric modeling
- Work with Support/QA to prioritize stability issues by customer impact
- Conduct user research to identify workflow gaps and innovation opportunities
- Monitor competitive landscape (AutoCAD, Revit parametrics, etc.)
- Translate customer pain into product requirements
Execution & Delivery (30%)
- Translate parametric vision into actionable epics and user stories
- Prioritize backlog based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility
- Run agile ceremonies with parametric development team
- Ensure quality through rigorous acceptance criteria and customer validation
- Track and communicate progress against roadmap milestones
What You'll Own
Years 1–2 (Primary Goals)
- Stability & Reliability
Reduce Dynamic Block crashes and performance issues, making it production-grade for enterprise customers. - Feature Parity
Close critical gaps with AutoCAD's Dynamic Block capabilities, removing barriers to BricsCAD adoption. - Strategic Innovation
Deliver 2–3 net-new capabilities that differentiate BricsCAD in parametric design.
Education / Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years as Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role
- Experience with technical products where reliability and performance matter
- Strong customer empathy — understanding user workflows and pain points
- Ability to balance stability (fixing what's broken) with innovation (building what's next)
- Data-driven prioritization using customer impact, business value, and technical cost
- Excellent communication with engineering teams and business stakeholders
Highly Valued
- CAD, BIM, or engineering software experience
- Understanding of parametric design, constraints, or rules-based systems
- Experience working with Support/QA to triage and prioritize bugs
- Background in competitive analysis and market positioning
- Technical background (engineering, CS, or deep product work with engineers)
- Experience managing complex, interconnected feature sets
Your Background Might Include
- Product Owner for technical products where reliability is critical (fintech, healthcare, infrastructure)
- Product Manager managing complex feature sets with many edge cases
- Customer Success/Solutions Engineer who moved into product management
- Technical PM balancing technical debt with new features
- Domain expert (architect, engineer) transitioned into product management
