About Role
We are looking for a passionate and creative Design Intern (Visual Design and Interaction Design) to join our design team. This internship provides hands-on experience in creating visual design assets, such as icons, thumbnail graphics, and documentation graphics, along with user-centred digital experiences. You'll work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to bring concepts to life and create delightful graphics, as well as prototypes for user interactions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to grow their design skills in a real-world setting.
Responsibilities
As a Design Intern (Visual Design and Interaction Design), you will assist in designing and refining visual assets and interfaces across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. You will contribute to visual assets like icons, thumbnail graphics, documentation graphics, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design. Working under the guidance of senior designers, you will participate in user research, usability evaluations, feedback sessions, and iterative design processes to ensure products are visually appealing, easy to use, and aligned with user needs and brand identity. You will also be encouraged to leverage AI-assisted design tools to accelerate ideation, exploration, and asset creation.
Education / Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual design and interaction design projects (academic or personal).
- Basic knowledge of Design and UX principles, UX research methodologies, and digital design practices.
- Prior internship or freelance design experience is a plus.
Specific Skills Required
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or XD.
- Ability to create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Knowledge of basic design systems and component libraries.
- Attention to detail in typography, color theory, layout, and iconography.
- Working knowledge of UX research methods (e.g., usability testing, surveys, interviews, heuristic evaluation) and the ability to evaluate designs against findings and translate insights into design improvements.
- Comfort using AI-powered design tools and assistants (e.g., Figma AI features, Claude, or similar) to support ideation, design generation, content drafting, and workflow efficiency.

- Exposure to design thinking processes and UX research methodologies (e.g., user interviews, usability testing, surveys, heuristic evaluations).
- Interest in emerging trends in design, technology, and digital products, including AI-assisted design workflows and tools.
7. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to create visual assets like icons, thumbnail graphics, and documentation graphics.
- Design high-fidelity mockups and support the creation of prototypes.
- Understand and contribute to the design system component library.
- Plan and participate in user research and usability testing sessions to gather insights, evaluate designs against findings, and propose iterative improvements.
- Maintain consistency with existing brand guidelines and contribute to design system enhancements.
- Explore and apply AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Claude, or similar) to speed up design exploration, prototyping, and asset creation.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and actively contribute to design reviews and brainstorming sessions.
