About Role
We are seeking an experienced Support Engineer to provide technical software support for Octave customers. The role involves supporting the Octave Facets application, specifically the Smart Instrumentation (INTools) Interface, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including development and product support.
The ideal candidate should have strong domain expertise in instrumentation engineering along with hands-on experience in instrumentation design tools and plant engineering software.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical software support to Octave customers by addressing and resolving support cases in a timely manner.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to the Octave Facets Smart Instrumentation (INTools) Interface.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and other support teams to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Support implementation, integration, and usage of instrumentation software solutions.
- Document solutions, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting steps for recurring issues.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
Education / Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Instrumentation Detail Engineering / Design Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Smart Instrumentation (INTools), AVEVA Instrumentation, or similar instrumentation design tools.
- Experience in supporting, implementing, or working with Computer-Aided Plant Design (CAPD) / Engineering Software is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech) in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
- Relevant industry experience in instrumentation engineering and software support.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- Experience in customer support or application support roles.
- Familiarity with plant engineering lifecycle and engineering workflows.
- Exposure to software integrations and data interfaces in engineering tools.
