Job Overview
Our Octave Finance team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive ERP Finance Support Analyst to join our small, highly experienced team. In this role, you will provide day-to-day support for ERP systems across the APAC, working closely with senior team members to maintain system integrity, resolve issues, and support ongoing improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational ERP and finance systems experience who is eager to develop deeper technical expertise while working in a collaborative, global environment. The selected candidate will be based in Malaysia.

Responsibilities
- Manage and triage incoming ERP support tickets, ensuring timely tracking, prioritisation, and resolution
- Provide first-line support for Microsoft Dynamics GP and related financial systems, escalating complex issues when required
- Maintain and update ERP master data (e.g., chart of accounts, vendor/customer records, system documents)
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance Testing (QAT) cycles
- Assist with SOX and compliance-related activities and documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders across APAC (New Zealand, Australia, China, India, and Southeast Asia) via email and collaboration tools
- Contribute to system improvement initiatives and ad hoc ERP projects under guidance from senior team members
- Support additional financial systems and reporting tools as required
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to SQL queries or basic database concepts
- Experience maintaining ERP master data or system configuration
- Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
- Experience working in a remote or geographically distributed team
Education / Qualifications
- 2–3 years’ experience in ERP support, finance systems, or business applications
- Hands-on exposure to ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Basic understanding of core finance processes (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and tickets simultaneously
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn new systems and technologies
- Degree in IT, Business Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
