About the Role:

We are hiring a Sales Account Manager for the Benelux region at Octave, where you will take full accountability for the business generated within your customer portfolio. In this role, your focus will primarily be on supporting our existing customer base while also acquiring new clients within the Geospatial industry.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Point of Contact: Act as the main liaison between customers and prospects.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Organize executive meetings, webcasts, and conferences to strengthen customer relations.
  • Demand Generation: Understand customer needs to create demand for our product offerings and better serve their communities/clients.
  • Territory Planning: Conduct effective territory planning, account segmentation, and focus on the best opportunities to manage the entire sales cycle and forecasting.
  • Pipeline Management: Balance the generation of new opportunities while nurturing existing ones until the deal closure.
  • Revenue Goals: Meet or exceed annual revenue targets within your assigned territory.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Participate in conferences, alliances, and marketing initiatives to promote the business.
  • Presentations & Negotiations: Deliver compelling visual presentations focused on customer needs and engage in negotiations, working closely with System Integrators and technology vendors.
  • Networking: Build relationships at all levels, from executives to technical profiles, within your network.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with sales admin, legal, technical teams, marketing, and operations to drive success

Education / Qualifications

  • Education: University or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales, especially in business-critical solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Geospatial market, particularly in PA, Government, Utilities, Communications, Energy, Emergency, Security, and Defense. Experience with Octave Geospatial is a plus.
  • Network: Existing connections in the Defense sector are an advantage.
  • Sales Expertise: Experience in selling complex solutions within large organizations.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Dutch, French, and English (spoken and written).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong ability to present to and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to stimulate innovation and influence change through analytical thinking.
  • Team Player: Strong collaborator with leadership qualities.
  • Administrative Skills: High attention to detail for accurate follow-up with customers and prospects.
  • Travel Commitment: Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
