Job Description
Global Enablement Strategist - Field Readiness, Partner Enablement (Remote - US)
Job Location (Short):  Madison, Alabama-USA
Workplace Type:  Remote
Req Id:  3379

Responsibilities

Octave is seeking an experienced Global Enablement Strategist - Partner Enablement to build and lead our partner enablement function from the ground up. This role sits at the intersection of global enablement and our partner program. You will design the onboarding experience and ongoing enablement structure for our external partner ecosystem (Resellers, System Integrators, and Hyperscaler partners), while also building the enablement curriculum that equips our internal Channel Account Managers (CAMs) and Partner Account Managers (PAMs) with the skills and competencies to manage their partners to success.

This is a highly cross-functional, build-from-scratch opportunity for someone who thrives on creating structure and programs where none currently exist.

Partner Onboarding & Enablement

  • Design, build, and own a scalable partner onboarding program tailored to distinct partner types: Resellers, System Integrators (SIs), and Hyperscaler partners
  • Create a structured cadence and framework for ongoing partner communication, updates, and re-enablement (product releases, positioning changes, competitive updates, etc.)
  • Develop partner-facing enablement content: onboarding curricula, certification paths, playbooks, sales plays, battlecards, and self-service resources
  • Establish partner enablement journeys segmented by partner tier, motion (sell-with, sell-through, co-build), and stage of maturity
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Product Management, and Sales Enablement to keep partner-facing content current and aligned to company priorities
  • Define and track enablement success metrics (time-to-productivity, certification completion, partner-sourced/influenced pipeline, etc.)

Internal CAM/PAM Enablement

  • Build and deliver a competency-based enablement program for internal Channel Account Managers and Partner Account Managers
  • Identify the core skills, knowledge, and behaviors CAMs/PAMs need to effectively recruit, onboard, manage and grow partners across the partner ecosystem
  • Create training paths, role-play/certification exercises, and ongoing skill-development programs (partner business planning, co-selling motions)
  • Develop tools and resources (playbooks, templates, coaching guides) that help CAMs/PAMs execute consistently
  • Partner with Sales Enablement and Channel leadership to align CAM/PAM enablement with broader GTM enablement strategy
  • Collaborate closely with Channel/Alliances leadership, Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, and Partner Marketing to ensure alignment
  • Gather feedback from partners and internal stakeholders to continuously iterate and improve programs
  • Report on program effectiveness and business impact to leadership

Education / Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Partner Enablement experience at a software/SaaS company, including building enablement programs from scratch and designing onboarding and enablement programs for multiple partner types — Resellers, System Integrators, and Hyperscaler partners (AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of partner ecosystem dynamics: partner tiering, co-sell/co-build motions, marketplace mechanics, and partner lifecycle management
  • Experience building internal-facing enablement programs (ideally for Channel/Partner Account Managers), with strong instructional design and program management skills across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Experience with PRM (Partner Relationship Management) platforms, LMS tools, and enablement/content platforms
  • Data-driven mindset — comfortable defining metrics, tracking program impact, and iterating based on results
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfortable presenting to partners, CAMs/PAMs, and senior leadership
  • Operates with a modern, efficiency-first leadership mindset, setting the standard for how work gets done by leveraging AI and emerging tools to eliminate friction, simplify workflows, and systematically scale productivity and impact across teams and functions
  • Exceptional relationship builder with high emotional intelligence, known for earning trust quickly, operating with humility, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new approaches to modernize/improve effectiveness, even in established or complex environments

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience as a CAM, PAM, or Channel/Alliances Manager
  • Experience with specific hyperscaler partner programs (AWS Partner Network, Microsoft Partner Center, Google Cloud Partner Advantage)
