Responsibilities
As a Global Enablement Team Intern supporting the Sales Skills Development function at Octave, you’ll gain hands-on experience helping design, build, and scale training programs that empower our sales team to perform at their best. This is a role where you’ll contribute to and support learning initiatives that improve sales effectiveness.
You’ll work on a mix of structured projects, ad hoc initiatives and tasks, which may include (but not be limited to):
· Help manage and continuously improve programs such as the new hire sales onboarding program, Front Line Manager Training programs, and more
· Update schedules, materials, and learning paths
· Build and refine training content, including training modules, exercises, videos, and certifications
· Track learner progress, completion rates, and ramp metrics
· Gather feedback from participants and managers to improve the experience
· Support planning and execution of programs and initiatives
· Track timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple projects
· Help coordinate training sessions, workshops, and enablement rollouts
· Build project plans and track and communicate progress
· Build and maintain spreadsheets to track training groupings, participation, onboarding progress, and performance
· Analyze basic sales and enablement data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
· Create dashboards or summaries to communicate insights to stakeholders
· Assist in designing engaging training content using tools like Articulate (Rise/Storyline), Canva, and more
· Develop job aids, playbooks, quick reference guides, and learning modules
· Help update and maintain onboarding and ongoing training materials
· Partner with Sales, Learning and Development, Marketing, and Product teams to gather input and align messaging and content
· Support communication plans for training launches and updates
· Help ensure consistency and clarity across enablement materials
Depending on business needs and your interests, you may also:
· Create materials (welcome materials, checklists, job aids, video content, and manager guides)
· Support onboarding certification programs and assessments
· Build a centralized content repository or knowledge base
· Assist in creating role-play scenarios or sales simulations
· Conduct competitor or industry research to inform sales training content
· Explore ways to incorporate AI tools into enablement workflows (e.g., onboarding, content generation, coaching simulations)
· Help evaluate and implement new enablement technologies or tools
· Gather feedback from sales reps and synthesize insights to improve programs
· Assist in planning and executing live or virtual training events
Education / Qualifications
· Strong organizational and project management skills
· Comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite, including spreadsheets (Excel) and PowerPoint
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Pro-active communication style and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
· Interest in learning & development, training, sales, enablement, or similar
· Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
· Ability to learn new tools and technology swiftly
Nice to Have:
· Experience with instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate Rise/Storyline)
· Basic understanding of sales processes or go-to-market functions
· Experience creating presentations or training materials
· Graphic design skills including experience with Canva or similar tools
· Video development and editing skills
· Familiarity with or interest in sales topics such as sales prospecting, negotiation techniques, sales methodology
· Experience in training, tutoring, coaching, or similar
· Comfort working in groups and speaking in front of people
