Responsibilities
Intergraph Corporation (hereinafter termed ‘Octave’) is the leading global provider of engineering and geospatial software, seeks a Principal Consultant to provide written, online and onsite assistance answering technical questions about the product from Prospects and Customers. Review Prospect/Customer requirements to define high level scope and provide Services estimates/quotes to the Account Manager. Assist Prospect/Customer on roadmap planning for Implementation services including future module deployment, system integrations, historical data migration. Deliver all necessary documentation/contracts for the completion of a Service Sale (i.e. Proposals, Quotes Estimates, Work Orders Estimates, Discount Approvals). Minimize organizational exposure and risk on project. Ensure adherence with Sales and Customer expectations in timely delivery and completion of service contracts. Create and adhere to Opportunity Close Plans and maintain related pipeline updates within Salesforce. Develop resources to ensure required expertise and resources are available to handle any Professional Services scoping needs. Ensure delivery and high quality of special projects. Attend weekly one-on-one Service Sales Pipeline review calls with Sales Reps, Solution Architect and Service Sales Consultants. Propose new service offerings and/or prepare necessary literature, quoting, WO materials and training to support Sales with the sale of Services. Provide feedback to peers and management on recommendations for process or methodology improvements. Deliver training on New Service Offerings and special projects as needed.

Education / Qualifications
Must have Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Science, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the offered position or related position. Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time”. Required expertise/knowledge includes: Experience in system design and implementation of Quality Management System (QMS), including understanding of customer QMS initiatives/pain points in order to accurately scope, estimate and propose solutions, which include deployment plan and timeline, to meet customer needs. Experience supporting customers with configuring their business processes, reports and interfaces with external systems utilizing script and webservice APIs for integration through knowledge of programming languages (Python), SQL, HTML, and JavaScript. Analytical, process improvement and planning skills to consult and propose solutions to customers, including enabling customers to digitize processes or to harmonize processes across different groups. Quality Management Systems (QMS) and manufacturing experience to provide consultation on best practices. Skilled in preparing, organizing, and managing sales-related documentation, including proposals, quotes, work orders, and discount approvals to ensure smooth service transactions. Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in written, online, and face-to-face formats to non-technical customer resources. Analytical skills to define project scope, assess customer requirements and the level of effort required to deliver the solution within the Quality Management System (QMS) in order to provide accurate time and cost estimates to ensure a positive customer experience. Experience handling customer relationships that strengthen the partnership between the customer and Quality management software to foster future sales opportunities.
