Responsibilities
Octave is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Project Accounting Analyst to join our Controllership team.
In this role, you will be responsible for project financial management, cost control, and operational tracking. You will serve as a key point of coordination between technical teams, Finance/Accounting, Legal and Leadership, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across all processes.
- Control and monitor projects costs using Cloud Coach (Project Management software) with tasks, milestones, progress tracking, etc. Working alongside the Project Manager.
- Analyze and validate time entries from the technical team to ensure accuracy and alignment with project scope.
- Analyze the project's life cycle, costs, expenses, margins, performance indicators and together with the technical department, make the necessary adjustments to align it with the actual EAC.
- Analyze and validate the POC (Percentage of Completion Method)
- Monitor the contract backlog, identifying risks, and deviations.
- Prepare and maintain management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and advanced analyses using Excel and Power BI.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis (forecast vs. actual).
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements in controllership and project management processes.
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
- Previous experience in Controllership, specifically in Project Control or Cost Control.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex functions, Power Query and Macros).
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI preferred).
- Hands-on experience with project management platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, organization, communication, and results-driven mindset.
- Advanced English proficiency.
