Job Description
Software Engineer (Support)
Job Location (Short):  Wellington, New Zealand
Workplace Type:  Hybrid
Req Id:  3222

Job Overview

Want to build software that helps protect communities and supports critical public safety operations?

As a Software Engineer (Support), you'll work alongside experienced engineers to develop, support, and improve software used by emergency services and public safety organisations. You'll gain hands-on experience across software development, troubleshooting, production support, databases, and cloud-hosted environments while helping solve meaningful technical challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys technology, loves solving problems, and wants broad exposure to the full software development lifecycle.

Whether your experience comes from commercial development, internships, university projects, open-source contributions, or personal projects, we're interested in people with strong technical foundations, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Based in Wellington, you'll join a collaborative team that values learning, mentorship, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute ideas that improve system reliability, performance, and customer experience.
  • Participate in Agile development practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
