Responsibilities
The Implementation Consultant is an independent professional responsible for delivering system implementations for enterprise solutions. The role focuses on configuring, customizing, and deploying solutions in line with defined requirements and delivery standards. Individuals at this level work independently on standard to moderately complex implementation activities and contribute to customer satisfaction through effective execution and collaboration.
Key Accountabilities
Implementation Delivery
- Perform system setup, configuration, and customization of purchased or outsourced solutions
- Execute implementation tasks independently within defined project scope and delivery methodology
- Support data mapping, migration, and validation activities
- Conduct system testing and troubleshoot functional or technical issues
- Ensure implementation deliverables meet quality and documentation standards
Customer Engagement
- Work directly with customers to support initial system access and onboarding activities
- Gather and document functional requirements, process descriptions, and implementation notes
- Create and maintain implementation documentation, including functional designs and lessons learned
- Deliver or support user training and knowledge‑transfer activities
Technical Support & Issue Resolution
- Identify and document implementation‑related issues
- Escalate issues to product or system integration teams following established processes
- Support issue resolution through testing and validation activities
- Provide post‑implementation support as required
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with senior consultants, project managers, and technical teams during delivery
- Provide feedback from customer projects to support improvement of products and services
- Apply established best practices and delivery standards in customer engagements
Commercial Awareness
- May support pre‑sales activities such as effort estimation, solution scoping, or demonstrations
- Contribute implementation insights to sales and delivery teams when requested

Education / Qualifications
Knowledge
- Good knowledge of assigned solutions and implementation processes
- Fair working knowledge of multiple solutions within the product portfolio
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently within defined guidelines
- Structured and methodical approach to implementation tasks
Experience
- Relevant experience in software implementation, systems integration, or professional services
- Experience working directly with customers in a delivery or support capacity
Scope & Impact
- Works independently on defined implementation activities
- Contributes to successful project delivery and customer satisfaction
- Impacts service quality through accurate execution and adherence to standards
- No people management responsibility
Autonomy & Decision‑Making
- Operates with moderate supervision on scope and priorities
- Makes day‑to‑day decisions related to assigned implementation tasks
- Escalates risks, issues, and scope changes appropriately
Working Conditions
- Customer‑facing role delivering services remotely and/or on customer site
- Travel may be required depending on project needs (typically limited to moderate within EMEA)
