Responsibilities
1. General Accounting
- Perform month-end closing for your assigned areas
- Prepare journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts
- Assist in preparing financial statements, summaries, and reports
- Support external audit documentation and walkthroughs
- Assist with implementation or upgrades of finance and other systems
- Support tax filings and employee expense review
2. Revenue & Cost Management
- Review estimates, purchase orders, acceptance reports, and invoices for billing and revenue recognition
- Process billing and revenue recognition accurately
- Manage costs and WIP
- Monitor accounts receivable, unbilled receivables, and aging
3. Project Accounting (Potential Future Responsibility)
- Understand complex project revenue recognition
- Provide advice to service and sales teams on revenue and cost matters
- Review project-related purchase orders and contracts, ensuring accurate order registration
- Learn and troubleshoot project accounting systems independently

Education / Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred; SAP/Oracle a plus)
- Native level Japanese, Business-level English (spoken and written)
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Strong time management and accountability
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- Eagerness to learn new tasks and drive process improvements
