Responsibilities
We are seeking an Accountant to join our accounting team and support a wide range of accounting operations in a foreign-affiliated company. The role will initially cover multiple areas such as AR, AP, client billing, tax, reporting, and general accounting, with a dedicated responsibility assigned later based on suitability and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations, including AR, AP, tax, reporting, and closing tasks
- Issue client invoices and check billing details
- Process incoming payments and support AR balance/collection follow-up
- Review supplier invoices and employee expense claims
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting schedules
- Support monthly closing, tax-related tasks, and reporting
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and support process improvements
Education / Qualifications
- Accounting experience in a foreign-affiliated (non-Japanese) or multinational company preferred
- Basic knowledge of US and Japanese accounting
- USCPA or USCPA candidate preferred
- Native fluency in Japanese, willingness to use English in daily work
- Basic Excel skills such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and willing to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
