Responsibilities

As a Solution Consultant, you serve as the primary technical expert, bridging technical capabilities with business outcomes in pre-sales.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Business Development & Strategy

  • Technical Discovery: Identify prospects' bottlenecks, environments, future states with account managers/partners.
  • Pipeline Growth: Develop Japan region solution pipeline.
  • GTM Execution: Target industries/segments; integrate Octave BricsCAD into sales strategies.
  • Value Articulation: Translate features to business outcomes.
  • Sales Enablement: Train teams/partners on messaging/differentiators.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Deliver campaigns/presentations at events.

 

Technical Pre-Sales & SME Leadership

  • Technical Lead: Central contact for Japan product queries.
  • Solution Design: Architect customer-aligned solutions.
  • Demonstrations & PoCs: Create demos; lead PoCs with 2D/3D data (AI modeling, BIM, SCAN-to-BIM).
  • Proposal Support: Provide content/estimates for tenders/RFx.
  • Product Liaison: Influence roadmap; maintain product knowledge.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Ensure sales-to-delivery knowledge transfer.

Education / Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Strong background in technical or business discipline.
  • Japanese: Business level or higher; lead technical meetings and write professional correspondence.
  • Consultant Mindset: ~5 years in technical consulting, IT advisory, pre-sales, or business analysis; manage projects, lead meetings, handle tough stakeholders.
  • Aptitude over Domain: High "Digital IQ"; rapid learning of complex software ecosystems. Industry knowledge (Oil & Gas/Manufacturing/AEC) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in DWG-based platforms, 3D modeling (Parametric/Direct), Manufacturing/BIM workflows. Familiarity with AutoCAD, DWG-compatible CAD (incl. BricsCAD), industry 3D CAD.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; simplify complex topics for C-suite.
  • Sales Acumen: Understand sales cycles, identify pain points, pivot to closing arguments.
  • Project Skills: Strong analytical, estimation, problem-solving abilities.

 

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Industries: Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, AEC, Manufacturing.
  • Concepts: Digital Twins, Digital Transformation, Asset Lifecycle Management.
  • Systems: EIM, ERP (SAP/Oracle), Operations Management.
